A massage a week... OR! exercise once a week?!

I’m clearly a big fan of sports massage. Sports massage is an awesome way to help relax your tight muscles, recover from a training session or simply just to get away from the stress of work for an hour or so. Many people use sports massage to mask injuries or the effects from postural problems. However, sports massage alone will not fix all of your muscular problems. If you get a regular sports massage just to relax your muscles and allow you to keep training then that’s fine. You are getting exactly what you want from the treatments. Bad posture, or more accurately, one posture for a prolonged period can cause back troubles and a sports massage can help relieve the tension you feel there.

A Chest Massage to Alleviate Back Pain?!

Recently I have seen taxi drivers and people with desk jobs that have back and neck pain. One of the possible reasons is that they hunch over and reach forward to hold the steering wheel or to type on their keyboard. The body is designed to move and this position is not bad, however, if you are in the same position for many hours then problems can creep in. In these two groups, typically their upper traps will be tight as well as their rhomboids and serratus muscle groups. Simply put, the peri-scapula muscles, being the muscles around your scapula or shoulder blade become tight. These muscles become tight because they are working at an extreme length, they are being asked to do a lot of work
